Archewell Foundation Transitions to Archewell Philanthropies
The charitable organisation founded by Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, is now operating under a new name, becoming Archewell Philanthropies.
In a statement shared on their website, Prince Harry and Meghan said, “After five beautiful years, the Archewell Foundation is becoming Archewell Philanthropies. This charitable entity allows the couple and their children to expand upon their global philanthropic endeavors as a family.”
The transition reflects the continued development of the couple’s charitable work. Archewell Philanthropies will serve as the home for their philanthropic initiatives as they look to broaden their global efforts and extend their impact.
The new structure also allows Prince Harry and Meghan to carry forward their charitable commitments as a family. As their children grow, Archewell Philanthropies creates space for the couple’s philanthropic work to evolve alongside their family life.
Since its founding, Archewell has supported a range of causes, including mental health, community support, gender equity, and digital wellbeing. The move to Archewell Philanthropies is unlikely to change these areas of focus, but provides a framework for continuing and expanding this work over time.
The name change also offers clearer distinction between the organisation’s charitable initiatives and the couple’s creative and media projects, placing their philanthropic work within a defined and dedicated entity.
