Meghan Markle Shows Support as Prince Harry Plays Polo in Aspen
Meghan Markle showed her support for Prince Harry as he returned to the polo field in Aspen, Colorado, sharing an image of him playing with the caption, “Oh, hello there.”
Prince Harry played polo against long-time friend Nacho Figueras, the Argentine polo player and brand ambassador, during the St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship. The pair have previously appeared together at charity and exhibition matches in the UK and the US.
A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex confirmed to People magazine that Prince Harry was standing in for a friend during the tournament and competed on the Aspen Valley team. Figueras, a former professional polo player, competed for the St. Regis team alongside his sons, Artemo and Hilario.
The championship matches span Wednesday and Thursday, December 17 and 18, at Rio Grande Park, with Harry joined on the Aspen Valley team by Grant Gazi and Nic Roldan.
Meghan was not photographed at the Aspen match, though she has previously attended Prince Harry’s polo appearances, including the Royal Salute Polo Challenge in Florida, where he competed in a celebrity pro-am game benefiting Sentebale, the charity he founded in 2006.
The appearance follows news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are involved in their latest Netflix project, announced four months after the couple signed a first-look deal with the streaming giant.
